EX US MERCENARY AND INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST KILLED

EX US MERCENARY AND AN INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST

KILLED.

Khurshidalam44@hotmail.com.

Obama kills Osama deep inside Pakistan in the city of Abbot Abad. The former US mercenary turned international terrorist and Enemy no 1 of US after Iraq war has a long history of crimes.

It was he who is responsible for US attack on Afghanistan. It was he put the Afghanistan and Pakistan on fire. It was he who used Islam as a shield for his heinous crimes.

He used a strange logic and declared himself as the sole defender of Islam. Let me take him on this point. No doubt the problems of the Muslim world stems from the double standard of US establishment but who is doing it for them? No one else, but our own rulers, the stooges of the Western World and US. If we back trace the history of Pakistan and be honest to our selves it was these rulers who begged the western world for their ulterior motives and mortgaged our future they never requested us.

I am unaware of the declaration of Jihad but if it was Muslim World liberation then his priorities were totally wrong.

Islamic teachings demanded that he should have launched a holy war against his own rulers.

If it was according to the he sanctity of religious places then logic demanded that he should have liberated Khana Kaaba first from Americans and then Holy house in Jerusalem from Israel. Did he consider Afghanistan more sacred than Holy Ka’aba?

Palestine was another issue? The Arab sheikhs, monarch and despots are the main stumbling blocks in the establishment of Palestinian homeland. Israel opposition is understandable. They killed more Palestinians than Israel.

As a Pakhtoon I feel that he put our homeland on fire and was our national enemy and killer of thousands of innocent Pakhtoon.

As a human being he was perpetuated crime against humanity as a whole. Was he the only to do it? My answer is “NO”; there are certain rogue states like Israel, USA, Pakistan and Iran who never hesitate to do the same atrocities against nations who refuse to toe their line. There are several organizations all over the world playing the same game.

We know who brought him here? It was USA, SAUDI ARABIA and PAKISTANI despots followed by the shadows of death. Prince Nayef and Gen Hamid Gul were the patrons

We constantly denied that Pakistan has no knowledge of his where about. Our agencies, Armed forces and government always claimed and fooled the world. Even the sectarian organizations denied his presence. But the sudden eruption of anger and resentment by them stinks foul.

As a student of politics I always rejected their claim of innocence in my articles. No one can be in a hide out in a country like ours with out support of establishment and civilian sympathizers.

I always pleaded that the losses of armed forces against terrorism are huge. It points out to the halfhearted co-operation of the agencies and support of civilian network.

The armed forces and the nationalists were the two main targets so it will be illogical to think that they are protecting their own killers.

But an organization cannot work with so much accuracy and can be so selective in their target unless they have roots in the civil society and agencies. Their logistic rout must be running through the society and protected by skilled organization.

In no war with India we have lost senior ranking military officials like generals but we did loose generals in this war.

I had my profound doubts that the whole nation is not behind the armed forces. It was not an illogical idea as some section of our society had no threat from these deadly shadows and was feeling so safe that they refused to accept state protection.

It needs thorough re-thinking by civilian government and military leadership of their strategy. The enemies of the country should be exposed. The nationalist and military personnel should be protected from backstabbing.

I do not at all support the American action, neither Abbot Abad operation nor Drone attacks but did we left any room for them to do otherwise, that is to trust us to carry it out?

As for as sovereignty of the country is concerned we should be honest to our selves to regain it? This topic is good for public consumption but has lost its relevance soon after the birth of Pakistan.

Sovereignty has been sold several times by despots and civilian autocrats. We hate Americans but we love their wheat and guns. We need F16 for an unknown threat external threat and brushing under the carpet the internal threat. We milk both worlds either we hate them or we don’t?

It is up to the PPP government to respond to Ch. Nisar but May I remind him that was it not the Indian Premier who informed his leader that Pakistan has attacked India without warning? Did he resign for his ignorance?

Our Ex F.M. is trying to follow the suit of Z.A.Bhutto. Hope he succeeds. But the chances are slim. He was the I/C of this disk. He vehemently supported the Drone attacks. He with all his oratory denied the presence of any Militants in Pakistan. He should apologize to the nation for his wrong information.

How the world will trust us if the fabrications are told on such a high level?

Now as a country we should stop licking our wounds but to re-read our selves and redraw our strategy keeping the repercussions following the Abbot Abad operation.

We are between the Sea and the devil. We have lost the trust of US and we have invited the anger of terrorists.

The only intact forum in the country is Armed forces but they have no protection from the back.

Target killing in karachi

TARGET KILLING IN KARACHI.

khurshidalam44@hotmai.com

Though the whole country is in the grip of terror whether it is mass killing or target killing but in Karachi the target killing on daily basis is a norm, if a day pass without an incident that is an exception.

The innocent citizens of Karachi are reaping the harvest of the naked dance of death initiated by two wicked and vicious dictators. It is has multiple reasons like interference in the internal affairs of the neighbors, induction of Fundamentalism, Sectarian and racial hatred.

Violence was used indoctrinated to achieve political ends. It has become an integral part of our politics and religious affairs and divinity was inculcated in it.

The human values demanded that wherever innocent drop of blood is shed that should be the focus of international fraternity. This noble rule was violated most frequently by the so called the preacher of humanity, democratic values and civility. They are suffering from a psychic disorder that whatever they think is the only right path to achieve human dignity. The humanity was divided on different pretext but the basic cause remained constant that was hatred. Ronald Reagan and Mrs. Thatcher divide further by civility tailored by them.

Hatred always breed intolerance and violence. States, organization and individual using different pretext used it in different way.

When Pakistan was proclaimed, the imported leadership and civil servants used the same to stop building the institutions. More hatred was generated. The non-controversial issue was made controversial like Urdu language. Urdu was spoken all over India but when it was imposed as a national language ignoring other national language it met strong resistance.

The hatred was simmering Non-Visible but palpable. It erupts like volcano and came to the surface when Muhajir students’ organization and MQM came in to existence. Its predecessor was NSF, an Urdu speaker dominated organization with left inclination and supported by small nations.

The newly born Mafia was based on linguistic hatred and run by hatred and intolerance to others. They came closer to Military establishment during Bangla Dash liberation war and after Dacca debacle they continued their subversive activities under the patronage of two Military Dictators, Zia and Musharraf. The first one used it against PPP; the later patronized it as they came from the same flock. During Zia tenure they gained more experience in military tactics.

Though they were intolerant to all but the main Target always remained Pakhtoon; the oldest immigrant labor community in Karachi. They were there in Karachi before 1947. Majority of Muhajir came from India directly and the subsequent influx was from the Late East Pakistan.

According to official estimate they were 40,000 in 1947 and in Sixties. when I was a medical student they were touching a figure of 0.6 Million. Occasional clashes were unavoidable but a constant friction on daily basis was unheard. My personal belief is that it was due to strong hold of the leftist organization which they lost in Mid-Seventies. NSF and Pk.S.F. closed collaboration played a vital role in keeping peace and harmony between the two.

The emergence of MQM changed the scenario completely. It was a highly centralized Mafia strongly believing in Bonaparte’s and had an inbuilt divine doctrine.

Initially they were engaged in infighting to clean up those elements that were resisting their Doctrine.

The infighting gave birth to Haqiqi who were eliminated and their dead bodies were displayed on busy roads to create terror. Subsequently Bata system was introduced. Karachi citizen were obliged to pay from their pocket to save their skin. The infighting was initially were between Bihari community and other Urdu speaking or any body who would challenge the Devin leadership of Altaf Husain.

It is an official report that the present governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and Altaf Husain are personally involved between 50-60 murders and innumerable disappearance of co-workers.

There is hardly a community who has not been targeted by this Mafia. But Pashtun was the most vulnerable community. It was because they had control over transport and could be hired and then killed.

I have seen young rickshaw drivers with cut ears and nose and have been personally victim of their atrocities in spite of the fact that we were supporters of Fatima Jinnah and ally of NSF. Politically or economically Pakhtoon were no match to Muhajir.

But constant negligence of Pakhtunkhwa by Islam Abad lead to internal forced migration of Pakhtoon to Karachi. Their numerical strength in Karachi swell up. MQM started considering it a threat to them.

The government disfranchised Pakhtoon in Karachi. They had no platform to raise their voice.

In sixties Pakhtoon realized their root cause of their sufferings. Pk.S.F and NAP were organized. But it took them lot of time to organize themselves on national basis. By then they had gained some financial strength like they owned small businesses and construction. The demographic distribution of Pakhtoon in Karachi is such that for Muhajir it rang the bell of danger. They turned their guns from Siddhis to Pakhtoon.

Wali Baba paid a visit to bring peace in Karachi. He emphatically said that MQM is a political force and cannot be ignored; but we have no logical authority to consider them a nation, as they do not meet the criteria of nationhood of having their own motherland. He assured Muhajir that Pakhtoon are no threat to them and their migration to Karachi is due to denial of their own rights in their own motherland. Both communities are historical facts and should peacefully co-exist.

The present Governor refused Bacha Khan to disembark from the Aircraft at Karachi Airport.

For the last 15 years Karachi was declared a no go Area and nothing was possible without the permission of MQM. Imran Khan entry to Sindh was banned.

This bloody drama is being played to day. The military dictators started it and now the civilian government looks impotent to stop it.

Historically speaking they are the first land Mafia who came from 1000 miles and displaced the locals.

Their political journey from Jinnah Pur to Mutahida Mahaz speaks volume of the conspiratorial nature of this Mafia. As a political force no one can deny his or her rights. The death of an innocent Pakhtoon and Muhajir is equally inhuman, un-Islamic and regretful. But fascism is more deplorable in the garb of Islam.

Yes we agree that Karachi generates 60-70% of revenue but it is because of uneven and unfair distribution of investment by Islam Abad. Why Pakhtoon should be punished for a crime when they are themselves the victim?

It is a great paradox in economics that man power and power both has been forcefully shifted from one area to another. The economic doctrine dictates that manpower should follow the power be it electricity, gas or coal?

As for drug Mafia is concerned it is a heinous crime against humanity irrespective who is responsible. But it is on record of foreign press and intelligence services that Pakhtoon are couriers, Punjabi and Muhajir are the barons and exporters to the out side world. Pakhtoon did not have those means and capital to carry it out on that level.

A British Documentary under the Title of “Japanese Scout” made during Zia time is a proof of it.

ANP the representative of Pakhtoon must come in to action to give the right of vote to Pakhtoon in Karachi. The constituencies must be re- demarcated.

It is obscured claim by Muhajir that ANP does not represent Pakhtoon, as they were defeated in elections by Mullahs. In a democratic set up it is a norm but in a prison it is abnormal. How could a prisoner contest with the Jail Superintendent? This fits the situation of Karachi.

We have no hesitation to speak loudly that Karachi is an integral part of Sindh Dharti all others are migrant there, unless they accept that they are there to protect the integrity and historical sanctity of Sindh.

Mr. Shabaz Sharif should read the history before saying foul. Saraiki province was there long before when Ranjeet Sigh established Khalistan with Head Quarter in Lahore (Ref. Speech by Rajiv Gandhi in Islam Abad) and so was the State of Bahawalpur.

If it comes division then the present Punjab has to be divided in to three, Potohar, Punjab and Saraiki province.

Language alone does not make a nation; history and culture cannot be ignored. Muhajir movement Became Mutahida when they could not get something from milking “Muhajir” cow any more. It was a big business at that time when I was a student there. Korangi and Landhi changed hands of ownership several times.

We support their political journey to join mainstream politics but they have to show their words in action in Karachi first; before spreading over Pakistan.

Another unrelated issue is the hue and cry of religious leader about Asfandiyar Wali statement about secular Pakistan in India during his latest visit.

The theological state concept was shunned by Mohammad Ali Jinnah at Palam Airport, Delhi when he was addressing Muslims left behind in India advising the to be good citizen of India, then in the Aircraft on his way to Karachi and then in his speech in constituent assembly speech and if there was any flimsy logic left that was buried in the slums of Dacca. (Ref. The Tail of two Guajarati by Dr. Sheikh.)

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is historically bound to raise the issue on federal and provincial level with Sindh government to protect Pakhtoon in Karachi and protect their lives and right to vote.

Stalin words must be remembered that one death is a tragedy but many are statistics.

Afghan own afghan initiative

AFGHAN OWN AFGHAN LED AGENDA FOR AFGHANISTAN

By Dr. Khurshid Alam khurshidalam44@hotmail.com dated 20th April 2012

I have always been a strong believer that Afghan crisis can be solved only by Afghans only. Every nation has its own Psychology, code of life and ethics. National wisdom is superior and stronger than any diplomatic expertise or military might.

But once the foreign involvement is completely stopped. In my opinion US led army action would have never taken place if they had no foothold regionally, I mean the neighbors particularly Pakistan.

Still it will be not that easy but hopes are there for its success. My optimism is based this time because Pakistan Armed Forces are also a party along with civilian government. Nothing is guaranteed in Pakistan unless it has its Military backing.

The Institution that matters is ISI. I have my reservation whether Gen. Kiyani will be able to take them along or not? Otherwise it is a step in a right direction though late.

It is also in the interest of Pakistan to have peace. I am definite that the Pakistan Military leadership must have realized the follies and silliness of Gen. Zia and Musharraf that to destabilize Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan. To put Afghanistan on fire Pakistan cannot be a safe place. Fire does not know boundaries and lines.

These two vicious and wicked persons have not only destroyed Afghanistan but also have put the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan at a stake to further their personal interests. They must be tried in the court of law nationally and in Haig. It must be made sure that ISI is made a party to end this vicious game of blood let if Pakistan wants viability and restoration of international trust?

In support of my this assumption I quote the statement of Gen. Mullen that some elements of ISI still have very closed relations with terrorists and Taliban. In addition this is a logical assumption that those who implanted this plant must be having some idea about its growth to become a tree.

This is also an open secret that why armed forces and nationalist are the main targets? Does it not stink foul?

The Afghan leadership is mature and the children of their objective condition. Afghans are known to be fearless fighters but they have no match in Jirga system as well. But they have to do a lot of spadework before embarking on the real task. Apart from political leadership they need active involvement of religious scholars and to work extremely closely with FATA elders on both sides along with settled area scholars and politicians of every shade. It should be Afghan broad base multi prong approach.

Abdullah Abdullah opposition is understandable. But we must try to take him in confidence if he fails to see reasons then better ignore him. Time will expose them. I personally showed my astonishment to Gulabzo when I met him in Kabul being a good friend. Mr. Gulabzo support to this lot is not easy to understand. He was an Ambassador to USSR during Najeeb time.

We should not be oblivious to the fact that in Pakhtoon society religious scholars are having fewer followers than a Khateeb of mosques.

The whole Afghan nation has to come in to action to contribute in this historical mission. Pakistan.

My personal involvement since the days of Dr. Najeeb and emissary and aid of Late Wali Baba has brought me to this conclusion that Afghan’s own agenda led by Afghans on both sides and an honest support of Pakistan Armed forces and its intelligence agencies is the only answer to this blood let.

Pakistan establishment must realize that a destabilize Afghanistan is converting Pakistan from a country to a corridor. A corridor has no sovereignty or national honor.

It utterly obscured notion of our so-called analysts and retired army Generals that there can be peace in Pakistan and fire play in Afghanistan. Either there is a peace or war on both sides. On both sides are Pakhtoon.

The delivery to the masses of foreign aid and local resources the gross root of society must be assured in words and spirit to wean off the people from these wolves. Poverty is playing havoc.

The sectarian organizations must be under constant surveillance. My personal experience tells me and I want to share with the concerned people who matters that Taliban movement was basically a nationalist uprising of Pakhtoon.

It was ISI and other agencies that blended religious fanaticism in to it giving them an impression that this religious tinge will strengthen their struggle. In this hypothesis the sectarian organization were openly involved.

In thousands youngsters went from the eastern belt and vanished. Gen. Dostum and the fascist element of the north were equally involved in it. It does not mean there was no fascist in the South. The mass graves unearthed by foreign agencies in the North are still waiting that the war criminals from all shades should be brought to justice in Haig.

Both in Pakistan and Afghanistan the national questions must be solved on the table amicably, if both countries a permanent peace. The world knows how badly Pakistan handled this question and lost the logic that it is an ideological state but bilingual Pakhtoon and uni- Lingual Dari speaking people in Afghanistan is an ample proof of this silent imperialist attitude.

If we keep ignoring solid rock type of facts we may achieve a temporary peace but it will resurface again. To qualify my statement this was exactly the word that one Pakistan diplomat told after to the hierarchy of Afghanistan after Sour revolution that if they want to establish a social welfare state in Afghanistan for all Afghans it will sustain and flourish but to build a Mini Iran will never ever finds leg to stand upon.

Iran involvement in northern part of Afghanistan is no secret and they are always stirring linguistic and sectarian hatred in Afghanistan. The visit of Iran foreign Minister to the North of Afghanistan on Afghan New Year day without the permission of Afghan Government is a non –Deniable proof of their nefarious designs. The international fraternities show no mercy to such cultural terrorism.

Afghanistan belongs to all nations having the same history and Father Land and is entitled for they’re due national rights. The recent sectarian uprising in Bahrain is another proof.

No one can deny the legitimate rights of the majority Shia Sect in Bahrain they must have their share and say in a democratic Bahrain. We neither support Sheikh and his ally Saudi Arabia to impose their will on the majority of Bahrain but in the same vain we condemn and oppose the maneuvering of Iran fundamentalists in Bahrain.

I do not claim that my point of view will be 100% right and my analysis will be the cure of all ills. I am open to discussion but I am firm in my belief that my intentions are 100% right.

I am of strong belief that one sees the truth and cease to speak it is the beginning of his mental death. Being the follower of Late Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Bacha Khan) I am duty bound to say what I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears.

ARABS < IRAN UPRISING

ARAB, IRAN MASS UPRISING AND PAKISTANI PRESS?

Dr. Khurshid Alam. Khurshidalam44@hotmail.com

The ongoing uprising in Arab world and Iran is a welcome sign. The decades of strangulation has at last found its voice and barricade of terror has been broken. Every mass uprising must be supported, though some will be a bit cynical as we yet to know the direction it takes. But the rise against despots and tyrannical regimen in itself is a step forward in a right direction symbolising public awakening. Awakes cannot be misled easily and if they go wrong it is easy for them to rise again and correct their direction. All the oppressed nations and democrats must support it.

There are many fears in the minds of our people like it may be hijacked by a group of thugs or the international vested interest will force them to compromise for their own vested interest in this oil rich land.

The fear is visible in American’s double standards pleading dialogue in Bahrain, Yemen and Jordan and total change in other countries. The Norwegian Foreign Minister was right to say that unless the western counties should have uniform attitude to all democratic uprising and armed intervention on the ground.

I am strongly of the view that all those who have committed crimes against humanity must face the international court. A uniform criterion must be formulated for this too. USA and UK must be dragged to face international court. Bush and Blair must face the court if we want to do justice to the innumerable civilians Iraqis, Afghans and others. Those who are no more with us they should be tried post humus .

These fears have their valid reasons but to keep quiet will further increase these chances and disheartened the masses. After all to break this vicious silence is a step to be adored and supported.

These despots were trying to convert authoritarian and totalitarian regimens in to kingdoms. They succeeded in Syria and that is exactly what Hosni Mubarak and Kaddafi wanted to do. There is hardly difference between the two. Centralization of authority and intolerance to opposition are common features of both systems but it will push the humanity 100 years back and will be a great setback to human evolution.

It is not understandable that the so-called free press of Pakistan is completely mum on such a historical change in a vital region. It points out to one fact that our press is also being controlled by outside forces like other institutions. The same press adopted the same attitude during Vietnam War where there was carpet-bombing and even the British press could not resist to say that Hanoi is surviving in the caves.

Our journalists are beating the drum of free press but in my view it is a sold commodity. Their freedom ends in political assassinations. It is the only forum that the members of a political school are dubbed as independent political analysts. They have never read that those who are sold cannot be buyers as Bacha Khan said. The more I think about them the more I justify myself to call them electronic Taliban.

It is also surprising for me that none of our political parties spoke a word of support or condemned the genocide by the Qazafi and his ruthless son, the heir to the throne.

The situation between Egypt and Libya is totally different. Egypt has a disciplined national army who owe their loyalty to the country while Libya has thugs of criminals and mercenaries who are paid to be loyal to his authority. In his authority is their survival. In genocide is their life. It bears the similarities with the thugs in Afghanistan and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa of Pakistan.

If other parties are keeping mum at least the party of Bacha khan should loudly speak out. He fought for freedom and nonviolence through out his life. It will be the only to universalise his teachings. Wherever there is a drop of human bloodshed that should be the centre of the world. If one sees the tyranny and ceases to speak that is the beginning of his death. As Stalin said one death is a tragedy, many deaths are statistics. Let us condemn the tragedy and raise our voice instead of shedding crocodile tears or moan on statistics.

It is a crime to confine Bacha khan to one nation. He is the property of humanity. We must be loud and clear. We know that Pakistan is being given petrol free of cost for its Navy and Air Force but they must realise that we do pay a big price by providing protection to the Arab kings and sheikhs and provide training to their personnel.

It was our mercenary army who massacred Palestinians just to protect a Hashemite king and again it was our forces to kill scores of Muslims inside holy Kaaba and still our forces are spread all over Arab world to protect the totalitarian regimens.

There can be another explanation for the silence of Islamic Ideologists of Pakistan that only kings, sheikhs and despots are Muslims and the general public are not included in Muslim Ummah. Those who can give us some charity should be defended according to Islam but no voice should be raised if these slaughter others in cold blood.

Our national values are much more expensive than to please Saudi. We owe our respect and survival to the martyrs of Khudai Khidmatgar who sacrificed their lives, to give us the right to live with honour. If we have lost that honour it is we who have surrendered it.

We must support them morally and diplomatically. The tiny input that can be made is to take out processions and through available means convey them our support. The electronic Taliban should shift their attention to that strategically most important and economically more crucial area.

............. WORDS BEFORE THE END!

................................. WORDS BEFORE THE END?

When is the end? No one knows. But if it is sudden, one does not get chance to say BYE to those we together marched through the journey life. World is a huge campus of learning and knowledge.

Millions arrive and depart; the world keeps on giving something to every body according to his/her capacity. When we arrive, though we have eyes but no vision, ears but unable to make sense from what we hear, tongue without coherent speech and brain unable to think. All these faculties are made functional here great teachers. When departing, we are duty bound to pay back according to our capacity.

The world is full of great scholars who give us power of imagination, thinking, observation and dreams. All these are incentives to excel in life. The individuals take the society forward when equipped with these senses.

The most difficult thing in life is to take first step and get self-recognition; the world greatest the Mother teacher gives us. And then life starts rolling on from the small step on a long journey to definite but unknown end.

The death shuts all the inlet of knowledge. The soul get out of the boundaries of the body prison and fly in vast universe.

My friends it hurts to leave you behind. When the next day dawns I will be unable to learn anymore from its rays and you. Every dawn is a new challenge and each dusk is an invitation to ponder over the achievements of the day gone. It forces us to think of the day gone by, is no more ours and tomorrow is not in our hands. Only today is ours. Those who avail today will never regret tomorrow.

I don’t think that the chain of moments is life. I may be wrong but I strongly believe that every moment is holding a life, pregnant with joy and events to be availed. All we need just to graze the moment and explore the opportunities of life. If we learn to avail the opportunities and starve our ambitions we can be a lot satisfied and the world be a better place.

Opportunities knock at every door but the clever of us avail; remember they never make a second visit. Vigilance is the key to a meaningful life.

Experiment is a good teacher but the fee is too much. Will it not be a good idea to learn from others experiences and not to re-experiment the same on ourselves; we all do invariably, particularly Afghans.

I honestly feel that there is nothing we can say with absoluteness, that it is good or bad. You might have noticed, that at times we hate something but when we feel good in ourselves, we enjoy the same something and call it wonderful. So bad or good is basically the shadow of our mental make up and internal chemistry. After all; it’s bad that tell us what is good. How a giver of information can be absolutely bad? Knowledge is fundamentally the flow of information. Unless there are two contraries how will we make observation? And unless there is observation how one can experiment? Experiment is the mother of knowledge, isn’t it a fact?

The lack of uniform rules and opportunities for all is regrettable. The division of haves and have not is deplorable. The racial hatred is condemnable. It will remain till educated certificate holders who have no knowledge to use their education are ruling the world. There are many blind spots like experience is a good teacher but cannot award certificate or job but it does not degrade the value of the experiment. At this very time we may not have answer to explain many things but I am of firm belief that the evolution of humanity will answer all these queries with the passage of time. W e may or may not be there in the world.

Our lives are just like a shelter for a night, not the end of the journey. Will it be fair to make a premature judgement? World is a great charming place created by Almighty and it is here that the presence of God is proved. May be that God created it for this purpose. I am saying good-bye to you all I would wish that you will make every possible endeavour to make it safe and make it a better place for the coming generations to come. Where we failed let it be thy success.

BYE MY FRIENDS. OFF I GO. LOVE YOU ALL. BUILD PEACE, IN PEACE THERE IS PROSPERITY AND GREATNESS OF HUMANITY.

ANOTHER IRON WALL IS CRUMBLING DOWN!

ANOTHER IRON WALL IS CRUMBLING DOWN!

Dr. Khurshid Alam. Khurshidalam44@hotmail.com

The fall of Berlin was celebrated throughout the world as the beginning of a long process that will bring down many walls, barbwires or lines erected or drawn by colonial powers to bring the divided nations together or remove the stooges of colonial powers who were installed to protect the interests of their ex-masters.

The Muslim world with exception of Afghanistan was under colonial rule. Algeria and few others fought for freedom. The others were given independence by their colonial master in a silver plate. It was in fact political and economical investment for the future by the colonial powers, as they could not maintain their grip any more after Second World War.

The Second World War though erased Japan, Germany and Italy to the ground but also break the back of colonial powers. In other words these three expansionists became the liberators of the colonies. But while colonial powers were departing they completely change the natural geographical boundaries and installed their faithfuls. Some countries were un-naturally divided, while some new were created like Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Havoc was played with Middle East. Saudi Arabia in its present form was the creation of British, Kuwait was carved from Iraq and Palestine was divided between the loyal Arab Sheikhs and Jews. Most of the boundaries were redrawn.

Palestine is still a bleeding wound. The rest Arab world were handed over to the cronies. Unlike socialist states where there was economical democracy but political dictatorship. On the other hand the capitalist countries had political freedom but economical dictatorship. The biggest Dollar dictatorship is in U.S.

In newly carved Middle Eastern countries had neither of the two. To be more honest it is applicable to most of the Muslim countries. To rule and strangulate their subjects they used religion as a lash. Terror was created.

In Islamic Republic of Iran Ex Prime Minister of Iran, Mr. Haveda was executed after two and a half minutes trial.

Mussadiq in Iran tried but was toppled by Americans and so Jamal Abdul Nasser was discredited using religion and King Faisal was propped in Saudi Arabia to counter Pan Arabism by religion.

These cronies blunted the Palestinians struggle. A Palestinian scholar in Dublin told me that a Democratic Nationalist Palestine is a threat to the Arab dictatorial regimens rather than Israel. He was of the opinion that if ever a Palestine state came in to existence these kingdoms will fall like house of cards one after the other.

In the same venue an American Film producer told me that it will take Israel less than 24 hours to completely capture Saudi Arabia bit it is not in American interest. It is easy to deal with Arab sheikhs to fix the price of petrol than to deal with Jews who are money minded.

They were right I believe Black September and occupation of Gaza by Egyptians were historical proofs that could not be defended on logic.

The sudden uprising in Arab world is the response to the wrong doings of colonial powers and decades long denial of human rights and freedom of speech. It was long overdue. Any how it is never late in human history as for the uprising against the tyranny is properly directed and peacefully sustained. Those who have been to these countries will support me that the masses after decades of suppression have done wonders to cross the barricade of terror and tyranny.

To every action there is equal and opposite reaction. Unless Americans and its allies hijack this revolutionary uprising it is bound to wash away these Tyrants. They deserve no mercy and should be dealt for their heinous crimes. They are pirate of humanity and they have brought shame for Islam.

In Pakistan this sort of uprising is least likely because of lack of trust between different nations but I would not agree with Mr. Ahsan Iqbal of Nawaz league that it is totally impossible and brushed aside. The corrupt rulers and impotent and purposeless opposition may rise suddenly and get rid of all existing political parties.

Iran has joined hands to prove that the Theocratic dictators are no different than totalitarian rulers. Tyranny is a common enemy.

The worrying factors is that this mass uprising in Arab world is not stolen by the theocrats as it happened after the fall Shah of Iran; Khalq was sidelined and eliminated.

The second worry is American. Gulf is strategically and economically most important for them. Israel worry speaks for it. They will try that this national tide is converted to some sort of constitutional changes to save the status quo. In Bahrain they tried and almost succeeded but probably the second thought of revolutionaries put the process back on track.

Unfortunately there is no political leadership to take this uprising to its logical conclusion. All the peace loving and democratic forces should support this movement with whatever at their disposal.

The history has cooked this wonderful opportunity and I sincerely hope and pray that it is not lost or diverted. Its failure will lead to a more tyrannical era, unimaginable in history. Let us prove that it is a global village in real sense and damage to one part can damage the whole village.

The men of words like Nelson Mandela and others should lend their moral support unconditionally.

WHERE IS PAKISTAN GOING TO?

Where is Pakistan leading to?

Revolution or Anarchy?

After the events in Tunis and Egypt the electronic and printing media of Pakistan is beating the revolutionary drum joined by some political parties without realizing the repercussions in a multinational state that is deeply divided politically, economically, culturally with deep rooted mistrust in each other.

All the ground factors are ripe for a drastic change in the system like a totally failed government corrupt with no direction, drowning economy, lawlessness, soaring prices and absence of basic amenities like gas, electricity and food stuff of daily consumption. Children are sold, parents are killed, suicides are surging up and people are abducted for ransom. No one is safe either at home or in the streets. The country is in a grip of uncertainty and has lost international credibility. Even the loans are offered on very stringent preconditions.

Added to this compound condition there is no credible and trust worthy opposition. Criticism is in abundance but alternatives are none but beating of the revolutionary is going on.

No doubt that the ground realities are ripe for a change but is the revolution only answers in present conditions?

National uprising can be either spontaneous or the result of a well thought strategy of an organization headed by responsible and trust worthy people, having a well educated cadre. If the uprising is spontaneous still it needs a disciplined party with the solution of the problems of the common man. In the absence of it there is every chance that the national uprising may take the course of anarchy. To be more clear revolution is a controlled uprising for the change of system while anarchy is an uncontrolled uprising having the possibility of unthinkable collateral damage in human lives and economy. In the process of anarchy the integrity of the country is also at stake particularly in a multinational state like Pakistan. USSR disintegration is the most recent example.

Anarchy is an uncontrolled uprising and can go any way in the absence of a well organized party. In the case of Pakistan with inherited intrinsic weaknesses any violent change can be a precursor to the sad demise of the state.

Do we have one? The answer is no.

On the other hand there are other ground conditions to be taken in to account before we think of revolution.

1) Pakistan is a multinational state having deep rooted mistrust in each other.

2) The army is busy in flushing out their self imported terrorist in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and there is insurgency in Baluchistan.

3) Punjab and Sind are in siege of political, ethnic and sectarian violence. Crimes control also need military help.

4) Karachi and Hyderabad is a mini state within the state run by a Mafia.

In this state of affair will it be advisable to call on public to come out on streets and change the system. Revolution is totally masses uprising and having no role of the army. MQM the champion of middle and lower middle class is asking the HONEST GENERALS to help them in hanging their adversaries to the electric poles and trees. It will be totally a mafia style revolution unheard in history. East Pakistan has not

been forgotten by the masses. That was military cum mafia operation that led to a disaster and international humiliation.

In last few uprising the exploited nations have been used as gun powder and at the end they have been totally ignored politically and economically. I doubt there is shred of trust left intact to convince the deprived nations to participate in another country wide uprising?

The common man sufferings are comparatively much less in Egypt and Tunisia. It was the result of decays long suffocation and denial of speech and assembly that led to the present state. Even now there is a vacuum of alternate leadership. Anyhow it is a positive step indeed but not a revolution. In my honest opinion it is a first step in that direction to get the freedom of speech and right to multi party system.

I was told by an Egyptian doctor that an Egyptian went to polls to tick mark “NO”. He told it to his wife. She became panicky and advised her husband to go immediately and rectify his mistake. The poor soul went to the presiding officer that he has mistakenly tick marked NO and he wants to rectify his mistake. The presiding officer consoled him not to worry they have already rectified his mistake and advised him not to repeat it in future.

Those who have been in Middle East will bail me out that it is the true reflection of Arab states or for that matter of all Muslim states.

No doubt that hunger is the first and foremost human instinct, needs satisfaction but freedom of speech and assembly should not be forgotten or taken for granted.

I agree with Dr.Masood that it will be equal to rewriting the history to include Jamal Nassir in the same bracket.

He was a legend who gave identity to Arab world. His popularity in masses was unimaginable. He was attacked several time by CIA either to kill him or to disfigure him but failed. To counter him King Faisal was propped up.

He might have committed many mistakes but legend is usually not a good politician like General De Gaul.

Let us be honest have we got a leadership with revolutionary capability and program and ready to stand tough to the unexpected? The leaders produced by army generals and groomed by them cannot be expected to do what a revolutionary is trained to do. Our army is trained and equipped by US. They have the same mental make up. Will the supporter of revolution not invite the wrath of our own army? Will these present lot of politicians have the courage to stand up to it? The past experience is not encouraging.

The situation is grave on the ground and needs urgent measure to avoid anarchy it needs collective political acumen. More than a corrupt incompetent government we have no vibrant and politically mature opposition.

If nothing is done in this regard not only anarchy will be invited but the disintegration of the state will be brought forward as the ground has been prepared by our myopic leaders.

It will be a wise idea to push forward for evolution for betterment than to talk of revolution. None of us is ready to accept the changes brought by the trio of Army, Punjab and Mohajirs.

Let us starve our ambitions and feed our opportunities. There are a lot of changes expected in Middle East and Iran. It is no point to play with the emotions of the

people by our prepaid electronic Taliban. I am afraid that if they succeed to trigger the impulse we have to taste another 1972.

To talk of revolution sounds nice but to carry it out is not a joke.
